Pink Floyd's 'Pulse' delayed
Its good news for Pink Floyd fans as their first ever concert appearance, captured almost 12 years ago at London's Earls Court, has been given a release date. What may not be quite so encouraging, however, is the nine-month wait.
EMI Records have today confirmed the release date for the two disc DVD as September 19, citing technical additions and modifications as the reason.
Taking footage from their record breaking 14-night residency at London's cavernous Earls Court, 'Pulse' captures the band's final ever dates. Split into two parts, the epic concert opens with some of the band's biggest hits, including "Shine on You Crazy Diamond", "Another Brick in the Wall (Part 2)", "High Hopes and Learning to Fly" - while the second segment sees the prog-rockers playing The Dark Side Of The Moon in its entirety. Roger Waters was not with the band at this time.
The 5.1 DVD also includes some of The Dark Side of the Moon original screen films used in the 1970's concerts which were never filmed.
